Things I Have Learned Recently

  1. It is not always possible to buy yuzu juice, even at your local Japanese grocery store. They did, however, have many weird combinations of yuzu and vinegar and other stuff.
  2. If you take a recipe for a key lime cheesecake, and replace the lime juice with an equivalent amount of kabosu juice (which is available pure), you get something that tastes a lot like a key lime cheesecake, although subtly different.
  3. If you put 6 tablespoons of butter in the microwave on medium power, after about a minute, it (the butter, not the microwave) will explode.

I can only hope that these deep lessons will make us all wiser in the years ahead.
