Last night while drifting off to bed, Erika woke up crying. Being the good father that I am, I ignored it and let Yoshie take care of the problem. After some time, without cessation of crying, Yoshie comes to tell me that Erika's stuck and she can't get her out. Huh?
Off to the rescue, I went into her room, and sure enough, she's somehow got herself so her feet are flat on the floor, but her body is wedged between the bottom safety rail on her bed and the mattress, with a crying head up on the bed. With a combination of pushing down on the mattress while pushing up on the baby I was fortunately able to resolve the situation satisfactorily. Having completely my manly duties, I left Yoshie to comfort Erika and boldly went back to sleep.
